Jennifer Lopez went for a heightened version of the legendary fisherman sandals
Back in June, the Bronx-born singer announced the cancellation of her tour—which would have served as a live presentation of her latest album, This Is Me…Now —in order to be with her family. It seems that after a few erratic months defined by divorce speculation, public appearances, and new project launches, Jennifer Lopez wanted to take a short break to rest and prioritize her family over her career.
We already saw her celebrating the Independence Day with a smile, and the singer continues her vacation in the Hamptons surrounded by nature and her loved ones, despite the absense of husband Ben Affleck. Just a few days ago, the singer went out for a bike ride with her son, Max, and some friends. Far from opting for an athleisure style outfit as she usually does for her gym outings, this time she chose a comfortable (and cool) outfit that is pure inspiration for our next summer getaways.
Her white dress—with dramatic thigh slits and a plunging neckline—showed off her toned silhouette and a nude bralette that underlined the singer’s taste for lingerie, as we’ve seen from her collaboration with the Italian firm Intimissimi. She combined the look with thin golden hoop earrings and large sunglasses that, as always, expressed her predilection for maximalism in terms of accessories. However, the absolute stars of the look were her beautiful platform fisherman sandals. You can see the photo here.
Last summer marked the triumphant return of the fisherman sandal, which are extremely comfortable and able to bring a casual touch to any outfit. However, Lopez ignored the popular jelly options for a pair that feature espadrille soles and leather ankle straps, thus becoming a perfect hybrid between fisherman and gladiator sandals.
It is clear that summer and the relaxed aesthetic of the Hamptons are influencing the Jennifer Lopez’s wardrobe to a great extent. While staying true to her XXL accessories, this trip has encouraged J.Lo to experiment with aesthetics with a more boho feel, recovering this sandal design that we will keep returning to for the rest of the summer season.
