Elon Musk today said that his Department of Government Efficiency is cooperating with cabinet secretaries on downsizing the federal bureaucracy. Since Inauguration Day, more than 200 FEMA employees have been cut – just one percent of the 20,000 employees in the FEMA workforce. NBC News’ Gabe Gutierrez spoke to laid off FEMA employees in Alabama who said the cuts have gone too far.
