Nicki Minaj appears to have been arrested in Amsterdam after the rapper said she was accused of “carrying drugs” in the European city.
The Grammy winner on Saturday shared an Instagram Live video from a van, which she said she was ordered to get in “to go to the precinct … to make a statement with no lawyer present.”
In the more than three-minute clip, the “Super Bass” rapper said this took place “after [marijuana joints] they found from bags that they were not authorized to take.”
Minaj noted that those in her party were unaware as to which bags were confiscated and “asked for our bags back,” and that she was ordered into the van.
“They’re telling me I have to go to the police precinct, simply beca— well, we’ll get into that later,” she said in the video. She also filmed from the interior of a police vehicle, asking where she was going and “for what? Why am I going here?”
One of the authorities tells her that they “will bring you to the police station … because you’re carrying drugs.”
“I’m not carrying drugs,” she responds.
This is a developing story.
