Megan Thee Stallion and Nikki Minaj’s “Hot Girl Summer” has officially gone cold.

The ongoing feud between the two rap stars escalated shortly after Megan dropped the new diss track, “Hiss.” In the Jan. 26 released single, she raps, “These hoes don’t be mad at Megan / These hoes mad at Megan’s Law.”

Megan’s Law is legislation enacted in 1996 that requires authorities to display information about registered sex offenders publicly. The lyric was quickly recognized as a jab at Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, who is a registered sex offender.

Moments after the song was released, Minaj took to Instagram to respond with a track of her own, sharing a portion of an unreleased single in which she says, “Bad bitch she like 6 foot / I call her big foot / The bitch fell off / I said get up on your good foot.”

The lyric is seemingly in reference to Megan being shot in the foot by Tory Lanez, who was found guilty for the attack and sentenced to 10 years in prison in August of 2023.

Minaj had more to say on the Instagram Live, telling her followers, “You have three Grammys and you have to learn how to rap on the beat and be comfortable in the music.”

Megan fired back on her own Instagram story posting a photo of herself laughing off the jabs.

Once musical collaborators, fans believe the rap stars’ relationship went sour after Megan worked with Cardi B, who’s had a long standing beef with Minaj.

No word yet on when Minaj’s new single will officially be released.
